Gina Badenoch on Radio Formula
Interviewed on Radio Formula, Gina Badenoch talks about how Ojos que Sienten A.C. changes the lives of visually impaired people.
On this occasion, Ojos que Sienten A.C. was present in the radio because of the interest and recognition of the media on its efforts to build bridges of communication between sighed and visually impaired people. Gina Badenoch, founder of Ojos que Sienten A.C., was invited to the program Nights with Irene in Grupo Radio Formula, where she shared with their listeners how the Association has transformed lives.
During the interview Gina spoke about the importance of changing perceptions in society to facilitate the inclusion of this group in education and the work force. She also talked about the empowerment process of people with visually impaired, and the workshops and outreach activities that the Association develops both for visually impaired and sighted people.
About Ojos que Sienten A.C.'s achievements since its beginning Gina Badenoch said: "We have given 50 workshops nationally and internationally, we already have 105 students that have had some remunerated activity and we have six students that are already working in recognized companies in Mexico."
In Ojos que Sienten A.C. we continue communicating our work for the visually impaired and we are very incentivized by the knowledge that our work is being recognized by media groups such as Grupo Radio Formula, this encourages us to continue breaking paradigms about visual impairment.
